What the first ninety days actually look like.
Changing accountants feels risky mostly because nobody tells you what happens. Here is the whole sequence, including the part where we speak to the accountant you are leaving.

How the conversation begins
04You send a business snapshot
Entities, records, current arrangement and what is coming up. Five minutes. Not a calendar link, because a meeting before we know anything wastes your time more than ours.
Walla reads it personally
You get a reply either way, usually within two business days. If we are not the right firm we say so and point you somewhere useful.
A real conversation
Forty-five minutes on the business, not a sales call. You leave with at least one thing worth acting on whether or not you engage us.
A written scope and fee
What is included, what is not, what we need from you and when. No package tiers, because your business does not fit one.
Transition, then baseline, then planning
90 daysTake over cleanly
We contact your previous accountant, request the file, and handle that conversation so you do not have to. CRA authorizations are filed, prior-year working papers and closing balances are reconciled, and we tell you plainly if anything looks unfinished.
Get to current
The books are brought current and reconciled, filing and remittance obligations are mapped against the calendar, and the first monthly package lands.
Start planning
With a clean baseline, the real work starts: compensation, instalments, cash sitting in the corporation, and anything coming in the next year. The rhythm after that is monthly numbers and a standing conversation.
Who you deal with: Walla, directly. Scope is set by the business, not by a package.
